After reading the articles and watching the video answer the following questions?
1. What are your thoughts about this case? How did the video make you feel or think? Should the athlete be charged criminally for this act? Why/Why not?
2. When competing in contact sports, should you have the same rights and protections as you would as an ordinary citizen regarding assault or should there be an expectation of violence? Why/Why not?
3. From each stakeholder perspective I want you to answer the following:

1. I think what happened is horrible why would someone do something like this. I think the guy who headbutted the other player should be criminally charged because he thought that just because he was in a football game he could get away with something. I could see where the kid thought he was getting away with. He pry thought he was gonna get a penalty for like rough play or thought no one saw it. I just want to no what the kid was thinking when he did this like did he know the other kid that he did that to.
ReplyDelete2. I think there should be a expectation with the violence because in some sports you can littlerly hit someone and not get in trouble with it. Like in hockey they let them fight but then they usually have to sit out. Some people think that since they are playing a contact sport. They can do stuff like that. But I don’t think there should be a rule or anything its up to the referee.
3. For the player that got hit I would not know what to do my first reaction would to go back after the player and do something. But I would still be very confused like why would someone do that. I would want the person who head butted me to get into a lot of trouble because now I have to sit out because of injuries. If I was the parents I would be very scared and confused both parents should feel the same because its not like parents just want there kids to go out and hurt other players. If I was the victims parents I would be very worried about my kid. If I was the parent who son hit the other kid I would be very disappointed in my son because that makes me look like a bad parents and it would give me a lot of extra attention when I wouldn’t need it. If I was like the principal I would be upset with the student who did this because that sets a bad example for that school like now everytime that school is mentioned people are going to be like o yeah that kid that hit the one kid in the face goes there. Both coaches should be upset because they both lost starting players for different reasons.
